Is the real master an ascetic?
Certain religions often recommend (or require) celibacy. This is to help the adept to achieve a higher level of consciousness. In general, any type of non-sex bans, non-stimulants in my opinion are needless. They can only unnecessarily deter adepts from the practice of meditation.
The practice of meditation is to enrich life and make it better and… enjoyable! The question is not to regret anything or make someone unhappy in the name of anything. A sexual intercourse is no exception. However, every man (after sexual initiation
) knows that sex is associated with some energies. Some thinkers (such as Z. Freud) even considered that sexual desire is the main motivating factor for our actions. Something must be in such thinking – look at TV ads and the sex in them – sex sells well.
We can use this powerful energy for better purposes. Take a look at Tantra Yoga. Does meditation affect sex life? From the point of view of a man – it depends on whether meditation is before the sex or… after
Meditation before makes the sex not actually necessary – the man is relaxed, happy, slightly excited… Meditation after – hmmm probably it happens rarely
Meditation during the sex – a strong subject, for advanced and courageous:) – Tantra Yoga.
Form the woman’s point of view… I’m waiting for your comments
