Every day forgives us

by redi on November 8, 2010

For me it its an absolute phenomenon. One day, I can not meditate, spend time on drunkness, gluttony, quarrels and promiscuous sex. Theoretically I should be punished and suffer the next day somehow – but it doesn’t work like that. One would like to say that we have sinned and we deserve punishment.
Yes – we have sinned – but we must understand the word sin.Of course, a company with a centuries-old tradition has changed the meaning of the word in order to achieve its own benefit. But the word sin (etymologically and historically) means to miss! Exactly! We missed and that’s all! Nothing happend! The sun will rise, the birds will sing.

I’m going to sleep and I can start all over again in the morning. The world is not angry with me, rather I have (quite unnecessarily) a guilty conscience. No matter what we did (or what we did not ) yesterday, today we have a new chance. We have the chance for a refreshing morning meditation, a chance for introspection during the daylight, the chance for happiness and love. Today we can develop and improve – even if we were totally an imperfect being yesterday!

The falls and failures are the part of the difficult process of achieving any difficult goal. In pursuit of enlightenment, we fall many times, we make a lot of mistakes – bot we should not worry about it and do our’s bit.
